Red face Carbatec Dovetail Jig Questions

I have purchased a carbatec dovetail jig, and I have some questions.

How can I accurately setup the jig? Only thing I can thing of is make some setup aides on the laser cutter, maybe a 12.7mm wide strip and a right angle joint.

Secondly, what determines the minimum material thickness? at 13mm, the bearing just touches the comb. Can I simply make a thicker comb to compensate?

    Cheers for your help.

I ended up laser cutting 2 jigs to set it up. The results appear to be reasonable so far but for some reason the pieces are offset by about 1mm. Will keep playing and try to get it sorted.

    Default Jig

I bought one at the WW show and have just started to get the time to play with it, unpacked it today and put it together started off using 19mm pine and it seemed to work fine with a bit of mucking around to get it set right, then went and tried 10mm and had to use spacers top and bottom to get it half right. Then the bearing on the router bit come apart and gouged the jig plate so will be off to CARBA-TEC on monday with it to see if I can get a warranty claim on it.
