Carbatec Vs Gregory Machinery
Im After some advice ladies and guys... I Ordered 2 metal detectors and a thicknesser blade hone from Carbatec. Got a phone call from them saying the hone wont be available until middle of next month and there is no ETA for the metal detectors. This annoys me a little  , so i have gone looking elsewhere.. I can get the same metal detectors from Gregory Machinery, has anyone used these guys before?
Also is this the "Norm" for Carbatec or have i just lucked out?
Cheers

Purse,
Is this "Gregory Machinery" at Wacol, in Brisbane?
I have used them when they were at StLucia for the Elu saws.
Also @ their new facility.
When I delt with them they were most helpful, and nothing like your trouble.
A sign of the times is it?Navvi

If you're looking for a smallish metal detector, I just ordered one from Lee Valley in the US. Better price than I could find here and works well.
Best part was ordered Friday, arrived Tuesday. Post $US13 along with other bits and pieces. Great service. Have a look at their web site.Bodgy

My contact there is Ryan Bennett he looks after one pretty well.

I was told by MIK in Adelaide that Gregory's are the sole Australian Importer for this product - hence why they advertised at a lower retail price! $165 + $11 postage

So someone is out of stock of a product, why is this a major sin. At least they called you to tell you what was going on.
I am finding quite a few of my most reliable suppliers out of stock of certain lines.
The fact that someone else has stock is probably just the luck of the draw.
Give it some thaught.

Sure, people go out of stock, but a little forward planning should reduce this problem. To have both items out of stock, do they stock anything?
and if its a supply issue, dont offer/advertise it until its sorted..
To offer an item for sale, i reckon it should be available in weeks, rather then months..
In the end, i just went elsewhere..
Just my two cents worth..
