    Default Man cave Sale

    Hi WWF

A friend of mines dad passed away about a year ago. Apparently he has a man cave to die for. He has spent the last 20 years or so restoring cars and motorbikes and has every machine under the sun. Mostly metal working stuff by the sounds of things. My friend doesn't know much about this stuff but has offered me first dibs on the sale of all of it.

does anyone have any ideas on what metal working stuff would be a good addition to a woodworkers man cave?

i am off to have a look on Saturday so will have a better idea after then what he has. Problem is this is likely to be a one off trip as Shanons are coming in to have a look too.

Do not forget to take photos of what you purchase.

Really depends on what you like to make. You can mix mediums and combine metal and wood, or get into tool making for woodworking.

But if it cuts, drills, turns, sands or grinds it will work for wood also.

Drill press, random orbital sander, for starters. Probably lots of other stuff.

Are milling bits any good for routers and drill press?

Sorry to hear of your friend sounds like he enjoyed what he was doing.

Photos not just of what your after but possibly the vehicles and other tools. Its hard to say what to get when we don't know what space you have or tooling you already have.

If I had the shed size it would be everything I do not already have.

Milling bits can be used in drill press better in the mill tho.

unfortunately the visit was a bit of a fizzle. The warehouse was floor to ceiling with spare parts. Apart from some large metal working machines there wasn't that many hand tools visible.
