cavity sliding door hanger
I trying to identify the manufacturer of a hanger for a cavity sliding door. The nylon 'tyre' for one of the wheels has come off and the door no longer slides freely...
The house was built some 40 years ago, possibly with Trend WRC windows.
The hanger is brass, in two pieces - the upper piece has a single nylon coated running wheel with ball bearing axle, and two small nylon wheels that run under the track. The lower piece attaches to the door timber by two screws, and to the upper piece by a single bolt.
There is no manufaturer's name anywhere on the fitting...
Picture enclosed.
I would be most grateful if anyone has any informationof who the manufacturer might be, and if and where spares are available...

your local hardware store should stock similar runners, they are usually near draft stoppers and door seals.

Try Cowdry www.cowdry.com.au They have an online catalogue which may help. I have found that the price of similar parts at the big green shed can be twice that of Cowdry items at my local hardware store.
Good Luck finding the part you require.

Handyjacks link is incorrect, try this for their track systems. Had a look but did not find anything that appears to match, but they also do a large number of rollers carriages etc as spares, If the problem is the main roller, it may be replacable from their parts range.

Know of anybody who is a lathe turner? Buy them a block of Delrin and let them have at it.
So many companies have become extinct in the last 10 years, you might be better off to find a new supplier of the whole dang hanger & runner wheels assembly.
Sorry. I hate to say that. Sign of the times, as poisonous as it may be.
