Central Carriage Staircase
I'm doing a reno on some stairs and one of the landings (its a curved 'u' shaped staircase) is approx 900x930mm, what sort of timber join would I need to create a piece large enough?
I was thinking about using pine, 290x45mm.
Any suggestions or alternatively, does anyone know of a joiner in the Sutherland Shire, Sydney that could do the work for me?

I think you want to make a replacement landing? They're normally just a plain butt glue join. Several boards of the right length glued and clamped then ripped to width.
But I think that replacing it is going to be difficult because they are usually housed into the stringers. There will also be a housing under the front edge to take the riser board."I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."
