    Default Chamfer a rounder corner

I saw this on instagram. What is the best way to get the corner looking like this on rounded corne if working on solid timber and dealing with endgrain? Just round corner and then use a really sharp chamfer bit and do small passes?

I have noticed when cutting against the grain when doing a circle (using router compass technique) if the bit is surrounded by timber it's a cleaner edge - although it's more work for the router bit . As opposed to cutting close to the line with a jig saw and cutting the last bit to the line with the router.

If attempting to do with hand tools what would one use?

Have you thought about a rasp and a hand plane? I use a rasp and a spoke shave to shape ukulele necks, then clean up with a scraper or sand paper. Slow things down a bit and that way you can work to a line with more accuracy.

I'm not actually needing to do this just asking out of curiosity and best to ask those with experience rather than to assume.

I didn't think of a rasp. I thought about a hand plane but didn't know how much of a problem tearout would be when going the other direction (in the case of this image top the bottom if we assume the endgrain was on the right). I have never actually used a spoke shave so no idea on that front

To get the round shape you need to make a template for the router to go round the radius you need. The template could be clamped down on the table and just go round with the router base pushed tight to the template. Its a very simple procedure. Using a very sharp bit will stop the table's timber from burning as you go
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

As said earlier a rasp. Also a "Four in Hand". I bought a couple here for about $10 each.

Basically it is a rasp and file on a flat side and a second rasp and file on the convex side. It is exceptionally useful for rounding things like tenons to fit into a router cut mortise.

This is totally non compos mentis!
I went to Home Depot and searched Four in Hand file. Three hundred plus results, none even close. I went to Google US and it found it at Home Depot. I went to Bunnings searching and got zero results. I went to Google.com.au and searched. I got the same page as from the US search. If that is what you blokes have to deal with, you have my deepest sympathy.

If you need one and they are unavailable there, I can buy a couple for a birthday present for my brother.
