Probably Bunnings would not price match for you. Price match applies only if you are comparing identical items, not functionally identical items. I.e. Must be the same brand, dimensions, and manufacturer product codes, and the alternative supplier must advertise the goods in the same general area and have stock available for purchase.

Price matching is for advertising rather than a general sales tool, and they go a long way to avoid having to. At one stage, you could not locate the big brand power tools the were selling on the manufacturers local web sites because the suppliers were doing exclusive model numbers for Bunnings. Thus, if you wanted them to price match, they could refuse because the item they were selling was different from that that everyone had access to, might be identical apart from the label, but not totally identical due to a different no stamped on the id plate. Such is the deviousness of the price match policy.

I found this out yesterday, needed another sheet of 9mm ply, argued with staff, ranted and raged, manager arrives, (opps next door neighbour, finished telling him to FO and look after his bloody sheep or else next time the fence goes down BBQ at my place) dont care anyway.

Now on buy all from Adelaide mob, yes need to plan ahead and get good load, but a few mate already know and with a new ute & 3 tonne load trailer available we could buy in bulk orders from Adelaide guy.

If this blokes prices are that good...DON"T try to get Bunnings to price match. That's how the Big Green Shed drives competitors out of business then raise the price again once competitors are gone.

Plan a little ahead and support the little bloke. That way prices may stay down for a while longer and it doesn't screw over a local.
