Check out my new construction

Is it a sculpture?
Is it a joke?
Perhaps you are even being serious?
Surely it should have a flat even backing surface so your canvas painting does not get horizontal lines on it.
Maybe I am just out of touch.
Still, it looks ok. Kind of rustic.

Nup, that should work. A canvas is stretched out on its own frame anyway and should sit on that easel nicely. Good that it's something you made too VAGWORKER.

The easel doesn't do it for me but I like the rustic pallet furniture
