It has been a while but here is a new video! I discuss two very nice tools and explain, why it took so long this time.
I hope you like it.
Thanks

I am subscribed to your channel so I get notified before you even put something on here. There are certainly some interesting tools out there from China so thanks for bringing them to our attention.
Looking forward to seeing your bench build when you get room.Dallas

Hi Dennis, I see that you have some of the Ehoma parallel jaw clamps (yours might be branded Juuma?). I'd be interested in how you think these compare to Bessey clamps. Although we are able to buy the Ehoma clamps in Australia the distributor has exclusive rights and the price has always been prohibitively ridiculous, hence I've never seen one. Your insights would be interesting.

Thanks for that Dennis. I don't know why you would buy the Ehoma clamps from Axminister in the UK at EUR70 when you can buy them (branded Juuma) from Dieter Schmid Fine Tools in Germany for EUR50. The Juuma ones don't have the articulated handle, but as you rightly point out it's totally unnecessary anyway. Lee Valley sells the articulated handle version (when they initially stocked them they stocked both versions) for CAN$75 ($69 ea. by the four). On Lee Valleys international site they're US$56.50 ($51.90 ea. by the four).
Clearly these clamps can be sold for a very competitive price provided the retailer isn't too greedy and/or there aren't too many profit takers in the supply chain. The fact that Axminister could sell these for half the normal price is an indication of what they buy them for, I'll bet they were still making money at that price. Because Ehoma has an exclusive deal with the Australian distributor a 1,000mm clamp here is about AUD$140 when they should be about half that price. Wish we had the options that you Europeans have without the crippling shipping costs we face.

For that money, I always choose the Bessey, because they work very smooth. That said, we also have some brands that sell the Ehoma style of clamps for a 90 euro for 4. And If I had to do it again, I would buy those, because you do not need the smoothness of the Bessey clamps.
