Circular Saw Base
I want to get a base for my circular saw, to attach it to this t-track clamp:
[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003TXSAHU/ref=s9_simh_gw_p60_d0_g60_i4?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=02D06DQQB94YNQJ6S0D0&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846"]Amazon.com: E. Emerson Tool Co. C50 50-Inch All-In-One Contractor Straight Edge Clamping Tool Guide: Home Improvement[/ame]
Where can I find a base?

you wanna fix the hand held circular saw to the straight edge?
I don't think it works that way.
Rather I think you adjust it to the length of the work, clamp it to the work, and use it to guide the saw.
Or do you want the saw captive to slide along the track without you actually having to press it up against the straight edge?
I think that's called a Festertool Guide Rail kit and ya gotta buy their saw too.
But you could make one from half inch Birch ply. to wrap around the Emerson guide and screw to the base of the saw.
Or do what this dood dun

Yeah mate, that was my thread - but that was a DIY project. I was hoping for a pre-built.
Thanks for the info.
This is what I want:

I notice on the ad that they sell a base that attaches to your Circular Saw, and runs in the side slide on the rail!!!.
Isn't this what you are after , if you ran the saw on top of the rail you loose cut depth, have a larger chance of kick back, and a greater chance of an accident happening.

You are looking at either something like this - Eurekazone | Eurekazone or this - SYDNEY TOOLS - Makita 165mm 1300W Plunge Cut Circular Track Saw
If those are not options, it's your chance to DIY from scratch.

I have used this type of saw guide.
They work well if the material being cut is large enough for it to be clamped to but not wider than the clamp can span, and you take your time to work out where to put it. You must allow for the base of the saw to the edge of the blade, or if you work the clamp on the other side of the saw allow for the kerf. The guide works best if cutting at 90 degrees to the edge. The guide can be tricky to set accurately and then you must hold the edge of the saw base against it while cutting. It worked with my circular saw, but the base of my jigsaw did not have a lip so tended to wander or go under the guide.
I still have the guide but no longer use it as I have a Festool saw and guide rails. They are easier to set up and you loose 5mm of cutting depth. You can cut at any angle to the edge but material must be at least 140mm to support the rail.
Hope all this helps.

Looked a bit further at the Emerson Tool web site and saw the plate to attach your tool to. This would assist in guiding the saw along the guide. Other comments regarding setting up of guide still apply. You would loose the thickness of the plate in cutting depth.

The saw plate is shown at the bottom of the page your link takes you to([ame=http://www.amazon.com/Emerson-Tool-XCSP-Contractor/dp/B003TXSAJS/ref=pd_sim_hi_3]Amazon.com: E. Emerson Tool Co. XCSP All-In-One Contractor Saw Plate: Home Improvement[/ame]).
The plate fits into the channel on either side of the guide .
