    Default Some clamps to consider

In my email today was the usual breathless spams trying to sell me something.

    I did, however, notice these: TradeTools - F08300-TRADETOOLS 300MM RATCHET F CLAMP WELDING 300MM X 120MM

Its a table clamp very (suspiciously) similar to the Festool Quick Clamps (such as FESTOOL Lever Quick clamp (FS-HZ 160) TWIN PACK )

I'm a Festool nut and use my clamps continuously on my tabletop.... but hesitated at buying more than two (at $189 a pair (!!!) they are pretty costly). This makes a nice alternative. Might grab some.

They intrigued me as they aren't really woodworking gear but are entirely suitable. It reminded me of the use of welding brackets for table surfaces rather than the extortionate pricing we pay for so called "woodwork" products... a mate whom is a welder showed them to me and I now use them on my TS. They are awesomely powerful and cost 1/4 of the specialised WW solutions... Magnetic weld holder, magnetic weld holders, magnetic weld holders manufacturer in China - Dailymag Magnetics

Not 100% sure how this relates to woodturning.

Twice the size and just over a quarter the price. They look ok.
I know you get what you pay for but in this case I just dont see the value in the festool clamp.
    Lets see who bites.
