Coach Bolts
Can any one please help me locate where I can get 1/2 in. Coach Bolts or Hangar Bolts. I think that is what they are called.
What I need is one half coach screw & one half bolt thread, about 2-1/2 in. long.

Knowing the correct name and spelling will assist your search, and I had to dredge some old catalogs for guidance. You seem to seek a combination stud, with wood threads at one end and machine screw threads at the other. Google ["hanger screw" queensland] should be successful. Or provide alternate nomenclature.

Try your local nut and Bolt merchant, should be listed in the yellow pages.
