I find PEC make great combo squares and quite good value. I got mine on eBay or Amazon. As for straight edges, I prefer iGaging as they're made of steel (so you can use with a knife), and one side is bevelled and has metric graduations so you can use as a ruler as well.

I have an iGaging combo square, straight out of the box it was so close to perfect I couldn't tell the difference. The adjustable T squares were the same. Also have a 900mm straight edge from them, after 2 years in my shed it's still easy to read and has not marked up in any way at all.

Keen to know as well. Thought my iGaging combo was square but if when I bottom out the ruler it's out by a mile.
