Had to look up newstart, its not a kings ransom - $535 a fortnight....
I might say, if you cant make $525 a fortnight doing anything you are pretty stuffed. Thats fifty bux a working day.
I know times can get pretty hard and there is nothing worse than the desperate feeling of being under a heavy rock, but $270 a week seems like something you could come up with just by holding a tin can at the door of a shopping centre.
My advice would be to literally work out what you are good at and flog that.
I also tend to agree with what others are saying about amortising the socks off every last bean and nail, but I also tend to disagree too. If a project needs film-industry like accounting* to work out if its profitable then I'd say its marginal to start with.
For you trucks, make 5, sell them, make 5 more and gradually increase the price until you feel good about selling them and people see the value.
My personal opinion is that craftsmen vastly undersell their skills.
I've attached one of my favourite saved images off the web.
* an industry in which profits are shifted into tax havens and every project is groaning with inflated/artificial costs. You've never seen anything like it... a billion dollar film can be made to look barely break even, or even a loss. (The Matrix, cough cough)

Another truck trailer and digger order, a fairy house with fairy furniture, some shelves for a lady who owns and runs a train and carriage home stay and a jewellery tree all within the last 2 days...over the moon.

Yeah I think so, have taken a lot of the advise I've been given here and it seems to be paying off. Thanks all.

K75,
Just had a look at your Facebook page. You make some great stuff! Not surprised you're getting customers.
