I've finally made the plunge and bought the Lamello Zeta P2.

the consumable is a lot cheaper than Domino connectors ($8.5 vs $2.5, per connector). Not to mention Domino connector are Godzilla size. doesnt help when your panel is under 20mm thick.

Lamello Zeta P2 is good for flatpack furniture.
Festool Domino connector is good for things that needs some structural strength.

I had a look at the Striplox fittings yesterday at Nover. Quite well made and quite good plastic. Carbatec sell them too, at cheaper prices and a lot more DIY friendly then Nover. Next time I’m in Sydney I expect to go to Carbatec and buy a small packet of Mini 60 for experimentation purposes. They look quite good as a poor man’s Lamello, relying on glue rather then Lamello’s marvellous T shape cross section.

Congrats, I trust you will post your impressions when you’ve had some experience with the system.

Thinking about it, I expect I’ll buy a Zeta when the time comes, I can’t get past the fact that it seems to be the best approach from a logical standpoint. Love that T shaped profile.

When you done a few jobs using Festool connectors when you really should be using Zeta P2... the economics will make you buy it just like that.

Here are a few photos of Lamello Zeta P2 next to Domino XL. the Lamello "Systainer" is the same as Festool.
