I am looking for the cost of timber per linear or square foot. I am having trouble finding this info.

You may have a bit more trouble as this is an Australian website. We tend to deal in superfeet over here, humber.
If you're looking for Australian prices, about $3000 per rough sawn cubic metre for hardwood, about ?$1500 for radiata pine. These are Aussie dollars, pretty close pricewise to USD.
These are **very** rough numbers, but.
