    I agree it looks a bit scary.

    It's just got a novel variety of 'knee-activated' safety switch, that's all.

    Just raise your knee high enough under the bench, and the resulting stream of blood will cause enough of an earth fault in the motor to trip the RCD in your circuit board!

    I used to work on something similar back in the 80's, although the bottom of the blade wasn't exposed like that. I'd give him $50 maybe...
