Default Who are your current favourite you tube makers?

Mathias Wandel, Jimmy Diresta, Frank Howarth and Jackman works are my top wood workers but I'm really enjoying a young blacksmith by the name of Alec Steel, he's only 19 and has his own smithy, started when he was 13 and has an incredible talent. He is overly enthusiastic, and very excitable at times for a grumpy bugger like myself but I have to admit, he's gotten me hooked. He seems to prefer working with damascus more often than not and has only recently started making swords and weapons, his latest being a gorgeous Roman Gladius sword(not damascus) with a padauk hilt and pommel and english black walnut handle.
    What about you fullas?

A big fan/respect for the following:

    Dorian Bracht
    - videos of him creating some of the most amazingly fitting joints I've ever seen. no talking, just woodworking
The Samurai Carpenter - a bit of a character, not for everyone, but creates beautiful pieces. Watch his bench build or Japanese Cedar Gate
    Paul Sellers
Chris Salomone - AKA Foureyes. Works mainly with ply. a bit of art meats furniture. A chilled guy
ISHITANI FURNITURE - cool joinery. nice furniture.

I used to watch a bit of the samurai but kinda went off him, especially after he made a big sob story about running out of money, people donated quite a bit of cash to his cause so he could finish his house then nek minute he's off on holiday, and jaunts off to Japan. I never donated anything myself but it put a sour taste in my mouth.

Cosmos Bauer is another of those clever young engineers, really enjoyed his green sand? aluminium slingshot builds.

I like michael cthulhu's vids the best. It's not woodwork, and not blacksmithing. He is a welder and makes giant swords and he isn't a wimp using metal lathes or cnc blah blah. An angle grinder and a drillpress is quite often his lathe He makes long format vids 1hr+

A few of my favorites have already been mentioned, but I like this guy for his excess of talent and lack of words.

Tom Fidgen - The unplugged workshop

    EDIT:
Must apologise, after watching many of his fantastic vids, he talks nonstop in his latest. Still worth a visit though, just start with the earlier vids.

I completely agree with what was said about the "Samurai Carpenter"

I can deal with a bit of talking yourself up but when you're at his level of it it's just unbearable to watch!

I took his overly confident srutting in my stride, his eye for detail and gorgeous Japanese designs made it worth it, but I detest dishonesty, the guy just rubs me the wrong way.
I also enjoy the "making it"podcasts with Jimmy Diresta, Bob Claget(I like to make stuff) and David Petru..something...
Bob has a great style and 9 times out of 10 he's doing stuff for the first time and he leaves in his mistakes and discuss's what went wrong and how to fix it. Jimmy is such a pleasure to watch though he's prolly a bit rough at times, but he's an artist at heart and isn't afraid to try anything. David is very skilful and his work is immaculate

.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfqY0DTPlVg&t=1s Bob makes a resin/concrete ocean floor coffee table, bit of a cock up but a good watch.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kN4OskdeO8w Jimmy Diresta makes a leather camera holster.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uu_qFDanGPY David gives advice on how to price your work to sell.

I like Doucette and Wolfe Furniture Makers videos. There's a new guy Matt Estlea as well who just made a nice Roubo bench that looks like he may post some more good projects in the future.
