install interior double door
I got an interior opening 208cm x 177.5cm x 11.6cm and try to install a double door including door jamb and door stop. But standard single door panel is 204cm x 82 cm which means I have about 9.5 cm horizontal margin. do I just need to use 4.5cm thick door jamb at both sides ?
Thanks very much.

(small point first: you'll find that most woodworkers (carpenters, builders, etc) use either metres or millimetres for dimensions - centimeters are used by textile workers) From your figures above you have a width of 1775 mm from which you can take 2 doors 1640 (2 x 820), to leave 135 mm. Door jambs are normally around 18 mm, so 2 of these = 36 mm leaving 99 mm, then you need a small gap to allow for seasonal movement, say 3 mm each x 3 gaps = 9, so you end up needing to fill a space of 90 mm. Sounds perfect for a couple of 45 mm studs, one on each side - which would also give something solid for the jambs to get nice and close to. The door stop doesn't figure in the deal as it doesn't go between the door and the jamb, but covers the 3mm gap.
Best of luck with the job.
Cheers,
Chumley

Or you could get 2 slighly wider doors, 870mm is a standard and readily available size. (You may need to trim slighly, depending on the accuracy of the dimensions given.)
