Can someone help me understand my dial indicator? The small dial what measurement is that, and the larger dial what is that? Also what is the screw at 7 o'clock for? Very confused. Thanks!

Small inner scale - each number is 0.1 of an inch
Outer scale - each division is 0.001”
Each full turn of the large pointer will move the small inner dial 1 division eg 1 to 2 or 2 to 3 etc, all the way to 9 to 0 which is the limit of 1.00”
Is the picture upside down?
If it’s the outer screw, it should lock the outer rotating ring/bezel that allows you to 0 (zero) the large pointer on the outer scale.
