Diffrence between Triton Mark 3 and Workcentre 2000
Hi
I would like to buy a Triton 2000 workcentre but in South Africa they are too exspensive. I found a Mark 3 Workcentre and would like to know, does the Mark 3 do what the 2000 can?
Also can I fit the Router table ( 2000 model ) to the Mark 3.
Basically I would like to know, is it worth buying the Mark 3 workcentre?
Thanks for all your help in the past guys.
Cheers

Vaughan, do a search, it's been thrashed around here numerous times. In short, if the Mk3 is all that is available then get one, they are a good unit.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Vaughan,
it may be cheaper to relocate to OZ and purchase all the Triton gear you want. (Well thats what I did any way) Then continue to use it here as the after sales service from the Triton guys in Melbourne is very good.
Have a great day.

Hi Les
I wish I could relocate from this country as with everthing that is going on. I will do a search again. Thanks for the help.

Vaughan, just be careful mate, the Mk 3 has something intangible about it that arouses those jig builders amongst us... it's a worry......
Good luck finding a workcentre......cheers...........Sean

I'd like to resurrect this (if it's not against the rulebook).
There are a few Mk3's out there. Should I avoid them in favour of the 2000? Money's the principal driver behind looking at the 3s (of course).

[QUOTE=Vaughan;114058]Hi

Hi Vaughan,
Yes both the 2000 Router table and the RTA 300 Tables will fit the Mark-3 but you will also need a Router mounting plate for the 2000 router top.
Cheers Warren.
