Dimensions of brass knob.
The proprietor can be a real pain at times, and refuses to give me the dimensions of a knob he sells.
can anyone please help out? I would buy one to try, but he has a $45 minimum order.
i am particularly interested in the dimensions of the cylindrical stem in the centre

What other dimensions do you need apart from the 10mm diameter ?

Have attached a sketch showing what I need, thanks
I plan to use it as part of a sliding switch that fits in the front of a box, if it is suitableregards,

sounds like you really need to find someone with a backyard lathe and a bit of brass bright bar?

Hey Dengue, put the dimensions required on that sketch and I'll knock one up for you and mail it.

WOW !! Thanks Picko, what a generous offer, and what a great forum.
Will take a couple of weeks to finalise the design. I was going to design the box around the knob on sale, but now I can design the knob to suit the box.
Are you able to put a thread in the stem, say 4mm diameter , or is that really looking a gift horse in the mouth
Happy to pay for all expenses involvedregards,

Yeah, thread's no problem, just let me know when you finalise the details.
EDIT: It would be easier for me if you can work around the diameter being ~9.4 because I just checked my stash, and what I thought was 10Ø bar measures 9.42mm.

Or you could swim across the river, there's 3 metal lathes in my shop and stacks of brass from your previous employer 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
