    Default Dining room table.

Groovers, I am after some dimensions regarding the height of a dining table and the depth of the apron. Regards Damien.

Both my dining tables are 760mm high and the one that has an apron is 600mm from the ground. Hope this helps.

Hi GW, yes 740 - 760 is probably standard height, apron can be adjusted to suit yourself, you can sit on a standard chair approx 450 high and check how much room you would like over your legs. The last dining room table I did was 760high with a 70mm apron and it had heeps of room.

29-1/2" and 5" respectively - it's written in stone somewhere.
    .
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

WW, catch up with the times man, "mm" wouldn't want to go much lower than the 5" (unless you're a short arze) it would be
a bit squeezy. We have one that was my FIL it must be something like that, it's a bit cruel on the legs.

Interesting how times have changed. 725 was standard when i started, now 760 is standard, and i get lots asking for 780.

I was quoting directly from the stone tablet (pre-decimalisation).

That's probably a reflection on the slovenly way people eat these days; with their elbows on the table so they can shovel food into their mouths.

Eating at home. I think I recall that sometime when I was a lad. These days seems to be a lot of eating on the run or at work.
