Dog house with loft
Hi all,
Should be in the workshop working on something or at least using the computer to work on a new project design, but as it is a miserable cold day, thought I would share my latest project instead.
A bit of an upgrade from his current abode, though not as flash as one I found a picture of online!
The roof comes off (two person job though), and the whole house slots down onto the floor platform (yet to be put in place). Sliding front window and rear cupboard inside internal step/landing.
Larch (my dog) loves getting up onto the top floor, not sure if it is the breed or dogs in general but he always loves standing up on things trying to get as good a view of the world as possible.

Completely awesome, he obviously deserves it. You've given the misses some ideas now. Well done, thanks for sharing.

One modification I might make is to tint the window with near 100% vinyl and leave just a narrow strip down the centre where you can see through. It is a lot brighter inside there now that it is out of the workshop and in the sun and have read that dogs prefer dark spaces. Other than that I am quite pleased how it turned out.

I think Tea Lady nailed it. That's a guest bedroom for any unplanned visits to the Dog House! Fess up now!
