Doll's House
I am in the process of making a Brian Nickolls 1/12 dolls house from his book. Because of the complexity I can see that I may have a few questions and I was hoping that there may be someone else who has made his Georgian house.
I used Jarrah for some of the miniature moulded cornices, architraves and door frames but am finding that it splits a fair bit. He uses the UK Lime timber for these items. I need an Australian timber that has similar properties. Any suggestions?

Oak might be the way to go. I wonder how Camphor Laurel would work?
Reality is no background music.
