Default door fittings supplier for home made doors

    Hi all,

I have just finished renovating a bedroom and I am going to replace this ugly hollow plywood dorr with solid wood door I will make
My problem is that I can not find a decent dorr fitting supplier who has a nice range of products such as hinges and door handles
I amp looking for something classy, original and not the classic hinges or door handles you can buy at any bunnings or other hardware stores
I ahd a loo on the net but there are not many
any help would be much appreciated
    Thanks
    Eric

    Where do you live?

It's a bit hard for people to recommend suppliers if we don't even know which state you live in.

Not everybody has a web presence, even in this day and age.

I live in Melbourne, south eastern suburbs.
But I can go anywhere (as long as it is not 2 hours drive )

have a look here, might be something you could use and they're good with mail order (great service).

this mob make a lot of stuff but you'd have to find a supplier as its wholesale only.

Schotts - on Hoddle street just north of the freeway crossover. Sort of a reno's supply shop for older homes - lots of good old stuff. The place makes me come away dehydrated (drool)
