Welcome to the forum Ricey,
Your title caught my eye because I love dove cotes. I was thinking about the tool you'd need and a router that cuts to the degree you require springs to mind as a cheapish way of achieving what you want. But others on here who are more concerned with joinery would be able to advise you much better I'm sure. Just an idea, and to say welcome. Clare.

Ricey,
I'm a virgin too.
You ideally need a table saw and a clever little magnetic gizmo that allows you to set ,extremely accurately, the tilt on your blade.Cost about $50 at good tool shops.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Lighnin and Clare,I thought a might need a saw table of some type, the gizmo sound interesting if anyone can tell me the name .I have a router,Clare, and will find that usefull more for the birdhouse's.I also love the dovcotes and have taken a few photo's from around the place to give me some idea's.I made a wishing well that I housed two bird nests in the gabled roof section which I hoped swallow's might take over but it's still vacant, rotten bugger's there's plenty around also Parrots, all rent free.Ricey.

Ricey,
My magnetic gizmo is a "BevelBox", available through Carbatec. It is absolutely invaluable for setting the table saw to cut "odd" angles, and is extremetl easy to use.A good investment.
