Do you use a Dovetail jig?
I there,
Just a question do you use a dove tail jig like a leigh or a gifkins to make through dovetails. I hope to get a lot of answers to get a good idea. Just a yes or a no on the poll is fine is i don't care what your answer is.
Thanks Ben.

No. I like to show off the amount of work I put into dovetails!
Isn't there a way to add a poll to the top of the thread?Cheers, Richard

Yep, an Incra LS wonder fence. Except I haven't really worked out the how-to-yet.
I'll get around to it. In the meantime I'll do lose tennons on drawers to Lignum.

^^^^ Yep, lose tenon on quick stuff, hand cut Dovies on the better stuff
Machine cut i see no point at all. Open a drawer and "Yawn" another machine cut Dovetail.... woopee. Why bother. Its not like they are unique or special, now days they are a dime a dozen.
I find it fascinating the overwhelming number of customers who comment on the lose tenon ones because they havnt seen them before and ask for them in their drawers. That said, nothing beats nice hand cut dovetails

I have a DT jig I can also hand cut them... problem is I never use them anymore I dont make heirloom quality furniture and its not really worth the effort on the stuff I make...
