Dressing rough sawn timber - Sth Brisbane
Hi,
Apologies if this is in the wrong thread section. I am wondering if there is somewhere on the Southside of Brisbane where I can get some rough sawn timber dressed. I intend to make a chessboard and the timber needs to be an exact width and the edges as close to square as possible. The finished dressed sizes will be roughly 55 x 19. (An approximate cost would be helpful too if possible.) Timber lengths currently 1000 x 75 x 25. There'd be 12 lengths all up. (Apologies again if I've got any of the terminology wrong.)
Being a rank amateur I have a few tools but a finisher is not a machine I have acquired as yet.
Many thanks in advance.
Regards

Try Wood N You
Wood N You - Board Timber Hire - You do it!
They have all the gear you will need, and are very friendly.
I have used them a number of times. Not cheap, but when you consider the machinery that you get to play with, it's well worth it.
