Oh dear! Thanks for the warning! Well I’ll give it a go, and if it fails I’ll just do as you say, someone suggested some dowels along the edge which I could do instead to locate it then pop the trestle under.
The place the spare tabletop is at currently is clamped onto the top of the first table, so easy to store that way as they’re identical.
I had these fantasies of just folding it out with either this kind of hinge or a soss hinge but of course they’re paper not wood tops they may not handle it.
They’re so light though and I didn’t have to do a bit of sanding or finishing 😂
