OK Bob, just to help you out.

Start off with an 800 stone, then move up through the grits to a 1200 W&D, then a quick wipe over with a scraper to remove any high spots from reversing grain, don't forget to check the bevel angle, anything over 180 is Ok, get it checked by an electrician, (always an electrician, what is it it with electricians?) dilute it with tung oil, rub on three coats then add some silicon, watch out for kickback, rout out the waste using a chisel, finally file off the plug and add another power point.
    Boring signature time again!

Thumbs up Drying Your Own Veneers

    Bob,
I seem to remember reading some years ago an article on drying your own veneers.

It utilised cardboard placed between each sheet to help absorb the moisture and to keep the veneers evenly supported. For the life of me though, I can't remember what type of cardboard was recommended. Then a flat sheet of "something" was seperated from the veneers again by cardbard and weighted down.

Sorry I can't provide any more detail, perhaps someone else may find the article.

G'day Bob, try it in the oven, the large local veneer mill does this just on a hugherer:eek: scale (like 100 M3 every shift) I'll ask them next time I'm out there about the oven technique temps etc.
