Probably not the right place to put this but....
I am looking for an attachment to hook up my belt sander to my Festool CT Mini extractor theres a link to the belt sander below.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I cut out a piece of plastic from an old drink bottle, wrap it around into a cone, and seal the seam with adhesive tape. A pipe clamp at each end seals it between the device and the vacuum hose. Works a treat.
See the version for my router here:

I will be interested to see if anyone has made a solution for this sander. Ive got one too, and the opening for the dust bag is a rectangle roughly 1" x 2" ...Tough as nails sander, but incredibly poor dust management.......literally comes out of every orifice......
Would be fine with an extractor connected though.I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

I gotta Ryobi multi sander.
Just waiting for the laughter to die down.
OK, what I did was use one of those rubber doohickeys which are designed to go on the back of a toilet pan, where the cistern is connected to the pan.
Pics if needed, but it's pretty straight forward. I dunno if this is suitable or can be adapted.

What about heating forming forging a PVC pipe into the right dimensions?Boring signature time again!

Makita seel an adaptor the fits the sander that inserts into the standard festool hose. the other way is what i did initially and that is the outlet of the sander i think is 3/4 inch diameter and that is the standard irrication hose joiner size, get a short length of hose with a joiner at each end.
I used the above method with all my makita sanders for several years till i bought the adaptor.

On second a second look it doesn't sound like the right one this is a square fitting on the sander about 1" x 2" as described above so doesn't sound like the right machine.

Makita stockist sell the parts, ring up Sydney and ask for the full catalogue containing accessories.
But the festool rubber end is quiet versitile and could be used with duct tape

gday, i have a cheap belt sander i was given.. to use on my dust extractor i used a small length of clear hose secured it to the belt sander with a hose clamp(worm drive).. 40mm dust extractor hose goes straight in...... remember it doesn't need to seal to the sander perfect as the dust extractor will suck a lot of air..
hope this helps

My solution is to reduce the 100 mm DC hose to 50 mm hose using plastic plumbing fittings and the same same to connect to the Makita.

hello the outlet of my sander is a rectangle, the clear plastic hose is very flexible so squeezing it over the sander is tight.. works well for me, does it's job..

I also have a Makita belt sander with the stupid rectangular orifice. My solution was to use a short length of 40mm pvc pipe that I had heated the end of with a heat gun and when pliable enough, forced the end of the pipe over the sander outlet and allowed it to shrink itself around the outlet. workks perfectly and my suck machine hose fits perfectly into the 40mm pipe. A word of caution though, Do This Outside as the fumes from the heated pvc are toxic.
