Dust Mask Advise
G’day folks. After years of frustration and working dangerously I’m reaching out for some Dust Mask preferences. I’m tired of putting on my paper with vent style dust mask and then safety glasses, only to be semi blind working in a fog as my glasses steam up. It’s dangerous and scary. What ideas or masks are out there that can prevent this from happening.
Thanks

I'm also a eyeglasses wearer and for the past 6 years or so, I've been pleased with this 3M model 7501 respirator using the P100 particulate filtering cartridges (the round pink ones).
Face Mask: Amazon.com
P100 Filters: Amazon.com
I can't find this model on the Australian Amazon site, but I do see the somewhat more expensive 3M 6502QL model which is very similar and perhaps even easier to use.

It sounds like you need a proper dust extraction system.
Masks (PPE) are at the bottom of the OHS hierarchy tree any process.
If you wear a mask while making woodworking dust you need to wear it in your shed for hours after making the dust as its the dust you cannot see that hangs around for hours afterwards that is the most dangerous.
Ideally a dust extraction system that removes the fines dust as quickly as possible should be set up that allows you to work in your shed without a mask then you won't have any fogging problems.
If it's a small shed and you mainly use small tools/machines it could as simple as installing some exhaust fans. If you use larger machinery you should install dust extraction to removed the dust at source otherwise it escapes and totally contaminates your shed.

This is what I use (original link got removed) but its a 3M asbestos filter mask. 3M™ P2/P3 Asbestos/Dust Respirator Kit 7535
I use this in addition to my dust extractor (Clearvue Cyclone), especially when sanding.

I, like you got sick of paper masks and continually fogged glasses. I have invested in a Trend Stealth Mask which allows me to still wear my glasses with no fogging, comfortable to wear, easy on and adjustment for fit.
I have yet to wear it in the height of summer bit I would imagine like most masks it well get a little sweaty.

I use the same as Rushton.... 3M model 7501 respirator using the P100 particulate filtering cartridges (the round pink ones).
Comfortable, easy to breath and seem to filter so well that I can't smell anything, even when working with stinky stuff.

Dust Mask
Thanks Rushton
Ive pulled out one of my 3M spray masks and found it works pretty well when wearing my bi focal safety glasses. No more fogging up. 👍DustyDaz

Dust Mask and Fogging Glasses
Thanks to everyone that replied. In the back of my mind I thought I’d have to bite the bullet and start wearing a proper respirator mask. I have a couple as I sometimes need to spray lacquer. So I’ve started using one of them and it has worked well. Although I can see it’s gonna be a bit sweaty and warm in summer. But that’s better than emphysema.
Thanks again 👍DustyDaz
