Actually, that looks like an M4. M= manual feed, A = automatic feed. There's no feed mechanism on that machine. I own an older A4, so I know what I'm looking for.

There's heaps of different brands with a huge range of prices. Perhaps you can tell us what you're planning on doing so we can advise better. ie: one man show or a few bloke working for you? Melamine kitchens or ply and timber. Used every day/week/month? Pre-glued or hot melt? Do you have 3 phase power? Will you want to do curved panels and/or internal corners? etc etc etc. here's a bloke advertising a Casadei V20-10 at the moment elsewhere on the forums for a bit over $7k. I have the lower specced and older V15-10 which I'm very happy with (after a period of learning and making lots of adjustments)

    Hi Mick,

I would like to upgrade my existing jet benchtop edgebander
    to something like the mechwood.
I use it to make kitchens, about one a month and the
rest of the time make cabinets for wardrobes, laundry's
and anything else customers want. Everything is mostly
    16mm HMR board or MDF.
    I want a pre-glued machine.
I do have three phase available but prefer single phase.
I will not do curved panels.
I have just seen the virutex EB35, what do you think of that machine.

    Thanks.

    Rock,
I have one of those, but a different brand. It works but I soon replaced it with the Casadei. For your application I'd recommend a Janssen benchtop edgebander which do come up second hand. They will handle curved panes and inside corners. They do require compressed air for the guillotine but will run from a standard single phase power point. The other alternative is a hand held edgebander based on a hot air gun with rollers and a tape dispenser attached. Virutex makes one, as do others.

    thanks Mick,

I have decided to buy the virutex EB35 from Beyond tools,
They had a demo left and let me have it for 9500
    with the dust extractor.
I talked to a joinery shop that have one for 4 years
    and they said it's great.
