    Default Embroidery machine stand

Wife wanted one for her birthday, commercial stands were eyewatering..
So down to the shed, raid the scrap pile, cut some steel. Son welded at work.
Then bunnings for a top (fj spotted gum panels on clearance) and ex singer drawers. (from my father's micro-shed. (3ftx6ft).
    This is the result.. 20230320_181540.jpg

Very nice great idea. One suggestion it looks like the stand is on wheels can't really tell from the pic.
If wheels are involved you will need to block the stand up in place as it will hit a frequenct and speed that will rock and roll it.

It is on castors, 2 locking.
    I'll watch out for vibration...

My wife has a larger machine, 15 needle which seems to be ok on wheels, although it's stand does have feet which could be lowered.
This is for a smaller 7 needle machine so hoping it will be ok. Otherwise I guess it will be back to the shed... 🤣

I used to run a 4 head machine they run way different than single heads mainly due to the way they are built. I could really get that baby bouncing at cretain speeds even with supports tied to the cement floor in the basemant. You should be aware of any vibration created by the harmonic vibrations kind of like why armies breah cadence when marching over a bridge. Wood lathes are another graet example how you cah get things shaking at certain RPMs and just a slight change in speed settels it right down. Keep in mind the even if the machine is not bouncing it sews better when the mechanism is running as smoothly as possible if no other reason than to create the smoothest travel of the thread path.
Anyway great stand I love the incorporation of the banks of drawers it will serve you well I am sure.

The old Singer drawers are also the bit I like.

    A better photo

I've refinished two drawers, by scraping the loose varnish, a light sand, wiping down with acetone then a couple of coats of shellac.
Still need to do the others.
