A silly idea but have you tried IKEA parts bins. At exchange counter.

If these ones are the right size for you, let me know and I can send you a couple of hundred. I have a box of 1,000 and used about 30 of them.

I too bought a box of a 1000 if you want some. They are Pozi Drive so if ordering get the drivers at the same time. I use them on slides and have to drill the holes to 6mm from 5mm on the slide frame and on the sliding part the holes are 6mm.

Have done a fair bit of IKEA for home office fit out in our new house in the last month, they use something like a mushroom head screw for their hinge plate mounts and draw slides, so not standard Euro screws.

If the holes have not been drilled in the panels as yet, you can generally get away with fairly normal 12mm or 15mm standard CS screws with 1.5mm to 2mm pilot holes for draw slides, but if the holes have been drilled 5mm, there really isn't much alternative to EURO's.

Slightly off topic, but congratulations malb, sounds like you've finally got a house.

You could try Lincoln Sentry. They have a branch in Newcastle. Not sure if they are trade only, though.

Yeah, finally got in on Dec 4th, but have been waiting since October to have the new barn engineered (done in November) and costed and quoted (still waiting). 16m x 13m American Barn with mezzanines both sides so fairly tall. About 1m taller than what the engineers have programmed into the computer for max height, and they have only programmed for mezzanines down the centre, not down the sides, so the whole thing becomes an exercise in custom design. Engineering complete and paid for, so the local supplier just needs to cost it and prepare a quote and I will sign the order. He's a fairly straight guy and doesn't want to pad out the quote to CHA, but also doesn't want to come out $10K down a hole because he missed something doing the quote, can't blame him really, so being tolerant of delays at the moment.

Meanwhile have tenants in the old house so had to shift a load of stuff from the garage there into the old garden shed at the new place just before Christmas, and discovered on Sunday that some kind soul has cut the lock off the shed door and walked off with the remains of the lock and two chainsaws, Stihl MS170 and a near mint 034AV with brand new 20in bar and chain. Looks like a couple of new chainsaws in the offing soon.
