    Default featherboard

    greetings

Does anyone know what sort of plastic a featherboard is made of?
I’d like to make a featherboard for my Triton Router Table RTA300.

    best regards

    Strange post for woodturning

Something firm but not brittle. A hardwood be Ok, or a cutting board maybe. There are a few posts around on making them, try a search.

I've made some out of pine that work quite well. Has a bit of flex in it which is good.

Most of the home made ones are done with some type of longer grained timber. Plastic ones are plastic because they're easier to bulk manufacture.
