Default Felder release new bandsaw FB 740 S

Not going to do a sales pitch ill leave that to the website here Bandsaws FB S | Felder

i just wanted to show a new Felder bandsaw i stumbled across this morning. Combines the Felder sliding table X-roll system like its tablesaw and combination machine lineup with a huge bandsaw blade system. Ive never come across a machine like this before and seemed really interesting to me so thought id share

I imagine wider blade and guide system would provide stability for all cross and rip cuts. stability is something that's a pain on my current n4400 due to my workshop size. When i move into the new workshop ill add the outfeed extensions so Ive found myself using my 2m slider on the C3 31 more and more, i can only imagine this would an absolute joy to use as your own mini sawmill

anyway just thought it was awesome and wanted to share. I don't have a price yet, guess i should click on the quote button.

    Cheers,
    Nathan

    It does look the goods.

I would be interested in knowing the price. I tried to get a price on a Felder bandsaw a year or so ago, it was the most drawn out complicated process I have ever experienced to get a price, in the end I gave up and bought another brand.

    Cheers Andrew

Probably over $20k AUD by the time landed here in AU/NZ.

From memory a Felder FS640 is over $10k.

Felder's X40 series are essentially rebadged ACM they are. their sander FS900 is also rebadged ACM.

Andrew That's because there are too many zeros after the 1...
The cost would be in the ballpark of the national debt, give or take a few 0's of course

Only thing for certain is it ain't coming to Aus. One thing's for certain. Aussies are far tighter than Americans and Canadians with what they're willing to waste money on. And with the added geo-gouge surcharge most companies levy on Aus customers (remember apple, adobe, microsoft et al, all said they charge us as much as they do... because they can), it would be easily north of $25k.

I just got a call from Felder.
The bloke said he was calling because I had been on their website and he wanted to know if there was anything they can help with. They must track visitors and I would be in their system having bought that Hammer saw a few years ago.
I was on their website today to look at that very clever new bandsaw.
He said they're not here yet, but he can get me one for around................ $50K
