Yogi do you mean this one
Was the third one he has ever made. Saw his first one about 1990 he wanted $200 for it then but I didn't have that much to spare, but like yogi I always remembered it so I looked him up again in 1999 and after much talking got him to make another one for me , the price then was $400 as long as I wasn't in a hurry, I paid him on the spot. He took 4-6 months to make it said his total time to do it was 40 hours.
No one who I have shown it to has not been amazed at the quality and detail. There are diffrent shaped spanners in one drawer and a tool box with a hand saw and ten all diffrent shaped chisles small boxes with leather strap hinges etc etc It is one of my most treasured things, I have been offered much more than I paid for it but it is just one of those things you can't put a price on.

Miniature workshop
Hi Ashore,
It's certainly not the one I saw but I agree It's a work of art. I've contacted Wolf and he can make one for me but I fly out in about 5 weeks. oh well !!! I think it's time I went to bed.
Good night,

Another Possible Carver

So enlarging on this, I remember seeing a beautifully carved workshop by Bernie Tarr down there a number of years ago. Bernie is now reknown for his life size & larger street statues in Geeveston.
Give them a call at the Forest & Heritage centre, (03) 6297 1836 ask for Roger or Debbie.

Miniature workshop
Thanks KevM,
It was Bernie Tarr's handiwork. I am seriously considering getting one carved but I haven't paid that much for a car. - Only joking - about the car of course.
