    Default Figured maple and Walnut hall table

    Just about finished this off today. Figured maple sides and drawer fronts. Walnut top and bottom and the drawers are made of 12mm walnut plywood. Finished in danish oil. I painted the legs matte black and am waiting on some matte black handles for the drawers too.

    The hardest part was getting the drawer fronts to fit nice and even all around. Got there eventually. Was my first time making drawers. I used interlocking sides for the plywood. Cut on my table saw as seen in the last photo as an example.

    I got the timber from 'The Timber Bloke' in Perth a while back. I did this project mostly to practice a few things I haven't done before and I have more walnut and figured maple to make a dining table from.

    Just added some sleek black handles and I've sold this to my cousin. She is moving into a new house and loved this for their entrance way. Onto the next project!
