I've used casting resin numerous times too and it's great for filling voids. Gives a water-clear finish so you can see all the natural colours etc, which makes gum veins look great.
I just have absolutely no confidence that anything like that is going to last long outdoors. All bets are off when you leave something out in the sun and the rain.
Given this:
the chosen filler must not break down due to weather"I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."

Really fine black grout should be pretty much weather-proof, not sure how practical it will be to use.
