Fine crack and split repair
Looking for repair ideas on how i might go about fixing these two issues. The Huon Pine top developed splits because of a dry environment in a gallery, its got a laquer finish. the second look like naturally occurring split/crack in the grain of the timber....tried a sanding sealer not sure that filled down into any of the cracks. Thanks.

To start with, that's not Huon Pine. I'd just be applying some thin CA, the good stuff from woodworking shops not the cheap $2 crap, then sand and refinish it.

Is it a table top of some sort? How's the Huon panel attached to the Tassie Oak/Vic Ash?

First one, I'd be colour matching some filler, mixing it with epoxy, thinning it with 90% alcohol and going for it. You could just CA it but you'd be left with a black filled crack.
Second one is far more serious. The only way I've been able to satisfactorily "fix" stuff like that is using a thickie and planing them off. I find wood like that moves like crazy as a result of the cracking, best just to cop it on the chin and wave them bye bye.
