Fitting front bench vice
Greetings Gentlemen,
Recently purchased a Large Front Vice Screw. Does anybody have any tips on how to best fit this weighty piece of metal.

Get two lengths of timber of equal thickness and close the vise on the timber at an approximate height to the bench.
From there you can raise or lower it to suit. Once you've got the height right you can easily mark the holes then drill as required.
I got the tip from Groggy's links.

Not sure which "Large front vice screw" you have but if it is the one that Carbatec or Timbecon sell that is similar to the Lee Valley front vices check out this link for the instructions on how to fit.
