Default how to fix cement sheet to floorboards

    hi,

I'm trying to staple 6mm cement sheet down but the staples are buckling and it's getting really messy. I'm using 18 gauge 6mm crown 22mm staples, and it's not working at all.

So how do i fix 6mm cement sheet to floorboards?

    thanks in advance

I'd mark out and using a chalk line, flick lines every 200mm to form a grid. Buy construction screws approx 25mm long with a countersunk head (stocked item at hardware stores) and get a couple of good driver bits while your there. Plenty of weight on the drill and they should go straight in. Takes a bit of practice to get the speed right to get the screw head flush, otherwise your glue trowel will catch if you were doing this to lay tiles.

Hi, If you are fixing cement sheet in order to lay tiles on the sheet , then you should be using tile underlay and be using the ribbed nail that is available for the underlay sheets .
    Cheers
