    Hi Rajan
A bat maker will repair your bat relatively cheaply, probably around $30 - 40, they will either glue the bottom and bind it then dip it in polymer resin or wrap a pigskin around it.
If you are in Melbourne I can give you the address of a good man who will do the job for you.

You could have a crack at it yourself but if it's a nice bat it's worth getting a pro to do it.
Glue alone won't hold it, you would need to glue and clamp it then while the clamps are still in place wind some wet hemp twine around it in the same fashion as whipping a rope, loose end to the back of course.
Work your way up from the bottom pulling it as tight as you can and lay each loop hard against the preceeding one, no more than a couple of inches otherwise you'll change the balance of the bat, and pull the end under at the back with the loop you left at the start.
As the twine dries it will shrink and hold the bat together.
I'm not sure what the batmakers use to seal the twine to stop it fraying but some clear polyurethane would probably do the trick, after it's dry of course.
If it's in bad shape it would probably need a pigskin but I have no idea how that's done, as I said if it's a nice bat then it's worth spending the dollars.
