old and broken woodworking machines/ not working
if anyone has any old, broken down woodworking machines and tools etc. that are going to be thrown out and or scrapped, i am interested in acquiring them for a tafe based project to repair them and restore to a running condition, a project to do with "planned obsolescence" and extension of usable life methodology.
any items you have available, specifically in the south east queensland area would be well received.

Dead GMC drop saw?
Love the idea!
I have a small (9") GMC dropsaw which I think has burnt out one of the windings in the rotor. It still powers up but with much less tourque and more smoke than usual. As a bonus I have already started the disassembly process
PM me if you would like to arrange pickup/rendezvous. I travel between Yatala, Logan and Milton during the week so hopefully that helps.
Good luck with the project.Cheers,
Shannon.

I have a wonderful old cast iron overhead router. It is complete and works well.
You are quite welcome to it but I fear freight costs would get in the way.
