    Default Free Plans Enjoyment

Well well welly welly well then, it seems that 1175 people enjoy free plans and only a hand full of stick in the muds want to winge about them, why, I will never know? Can someone from the multidude of free plan lovers please leave a post on what they thought of some of the crapolla free plans at the free google site?? Did you find something worth while??
Did you find a design you liked and modified the plans to your own needs? Did you find good manners and start calling elders MR.? Or were you just to much of a grump to get happy over things that were for free? Either way it's unanimous, nice people like free plans. Oh, I'm so glad we live in a perfect world.
    Thanx for replying!

    Hey Chopper1 (with two "L"s)!!

Just exactly WHAT do you do with all these free plans anyway? You aren't just collecting heaps of good ones so you can sell a CD full of them on eBay are you?

Joking aside if you want to set up an index page to the decent ones that would be appreciated by all I'm sure.

    Cheers,

    P

Chopper1 (with two "L"s)!! Where are you getting the figure of 1175 people? Cause You do realise that on this board just beacause theres 1175 views to a thread dosn't mean they are individual people. Most of them will be regulars checking back in on the thread to keep up on the goss, or us powers that be who have to regularly keep a check on these threads can visit it many many times over..

    G'day bitingmidge
Tell me where does the midge bit come from anyway?
That's a top idea about selling them on ebay, never thought of that one.
Just exactly what is an index page and how do you go about it?
Thanx for having a sense of humour>

Yes Shane you are right about what you say. But, you would have to admit that with that type of numbers the odds are many people have logged on to find out about the plans. The only other thread on the first page to have a higher view count is the golden ratio and the next one with a count less then mine is about 3 to 400, so it seems a hell of a lot of people wanted to find out about decent woodworking plans. But I take your point.

    Thanx, Hellacopter1

    To chopper

I lost count after looking in 200 times.

Afree plan list with star ratings would be nice, and should keep you quiet.

    Thumbs down A = Z

My dear Mr. Hellacopter 1, ( See I am polite )

When I posted that I watched it 50 times I was referring to your thread entitled “ Free Woodworking Plans” however closer analysis of your post shows that you are in fact referring to the thread “ Decent Woodworking Plans”.

This Thread on Decent Woodworking Plans has 47 posts and now 1182 views.

    The discussion ranged from:
    The question of free plans,
    To copyright,
    To shooting lawyers,
    To publish and be dammed,
    To objections of your sarcasm,
To the question on whether senior members were too hard on you,
    Steve’s touch – sensitive dreams,
Robbo’s admonition to be nice and
    Finally your explanation and replies.

The 1182 views divided by each of the contributors to the debate gives 26 views by each . Obviously more by some and less than others but in no way could you claim 1175 satisfied viewers of your plan site or viewpoint.

In fact I believe that most views were in relation to the developing discussion and not the original comment. Further, apart from the contributors, I don't think too many others watched the discussion probably because they don't like free plans.

Just an observation of a former bean counter who doesn't presume that A = Z without reason.

Mr. Sturdee I am sincerely impressed by your inelligence (not) I have already stated that I realise all 1200 posts weren't from individual people, maybe you should of read a little closer. There is no way only some 50 people made up that number. Oh, and Mr. jow104, keep your comments in the land of warm cats wee wee, were they belong .HeLLacopter1

    Midge,

If I was still practising the ancient and noble art of cooking books and making Balance sheet hide the true state of afffairs and ensuring that P & L accounts hide the real profit I would not have made such simple equation of 1182 / 47 = 26 ( rounded up for the pedantics  of this Board).

Instead I would have factored into the equation allowances for the Forum Gods and their minions , spiders and other data trackers, and the probability of a counter mishap. Therefore a more accurate answer might well be an average of say 18.74533333 views per poster.

Makes the "Well well welly welly well then, it seems that 1175 people enjoy free plans and only a hand full of stick in the muds want to winge about them, why, I will never know? " sentence even more ridiculous.

    Your honourable former bean counter.

Oh but I did. And I did it very carefully.

Your post agreed with Shane ( and you did not address him as Mr. Watson - a marked lack of respect for a Junior Admin/Super Moderator ) that not all views represented individual people and then proceeded to claim that it seems a hell of a lot of people wanted to find out about decent woodworking plans.

My point is this is not so.

If my math is wrong I have no doubt that others will correct me.

    Peter.

Btw I took the liberty of correcting your grammar and spelling in your quote. My sincere apologies for that.
