Should be a branch near enough to you in there somewhere, or you can order online.

Don't forget to check out the Flexi curves as well - very useful for larger curves - 300 - 600mm long

Have a look at almost any decent size newsagent. Especially one that does school supplies.

I think I posted this someplace else, but it really belongs here.

Back in my pre-CAD drafting days, one of my co-workers had a set of very, very French curves. Whenever he drew a line along certain parts of the curve, he said, "Pardon me, madam."

Our uni bookshop sells them, so try checking your local unis. And you'll need to tell us what you're doing with French curves.. including pics...

There you go: Print them, trace onto 4mm ply, cut out, sand using your favourite technique, and finish with your favourite finish! All at no cost, and only 3 months of weekend work!

Now, where's that "tongue in cheek" icon gone again.....?

    Shane

what size circles / curves to you want ?

If it's for a boat, you'll need something way bigger than a french curve or jam tin

now if you want a nice big curve try and find a set of railway curves or a beam compass

even our mate Rob (the one over in maple leaf land) has these gooodies

You can make up a spline from a thin strip of wood with pieces of thin MDF or ply glued to it. Lay it out and put weights on the MDF to hold it in position, the draw your line along it. Will post a pic of mine when I get a chance so you know what I mean.
