    Default French Gothic Fence Post

I'm trying to make French Gothic Fence Posts for a fence and the top cone part is really the only part that is holding me back. its not a straight cut its curved and i'm not sure how to complete that without spending a ton of time. any suggestions from anyone that has done this or things of an idea would be great.

    Thanks
    Doug

    hiya

uncertain how you have gone with this - I have only just looked at your post now - 31st may ..... Assuming you are working from an exisiting post/drawing/photo, could you please post a pic to enable others to get a better idea of what youre trying to achieve?

I have several books on French architecture but I am unclear as to how the post is meant to look exactly

    Cheers

I couldn't picture it either, a French Gothic fence post conjures up visions of a stone number with flying buttresses, spires and gargoyles  . Now that would be a fancy fence!

    lol!

I have an image I used in one of my brochure designs - It's a post from Kyneton in Victoria - cast iron and Gothic.

I love Gothic style windows and doors with their pinched arches and have hopes of one day making a couple of serious Gothic windows for our back extension (whenever that gets built!)
