    Default Furniture delivery

Someones asked me to make them a very large dining table but the problem is I am in Melbourne and theyre out in Gippsland. Any recommendations on a company that can transport it what also handles with care?

You can rent Trucks from Car hire places, we just recently moved our selves out of Melbourne(11 months ago)using a Hire truck, there all auto an can be driven on a car licence.
An come with a tailgate lift.
There very easy too drive,I’m not a truck driver.

    Cheers Matt.

Get a quote from Grace. They moved an old jarrah wardrobe (dismantled into 12 bits) from Newcastle to Perth and a dining table from Newcastle to Christchurch (NZ) for me. They were the cheapest of a bunch of removalists and everything was wrapped and treated with real care. Couldn't recommend them more highly. Your distance maybe a bit too short for them though, but worth a phonecall I reckon

    Andersons Removals

Andersons are in and out of Melbourne each week from Maffra. And go up and down the east coast. Ive used them for some years with no problems. All with mostly one off pieces being delivered or picked up.

I have been selling across NZ, to send large furniture out is quite involving, the packaging is a lot to think about, if not done right by the time they get their stuff its all mangled/damaged... and the delivery.... etc. everytime someone orders something from me thats not local I am basically paying them to get the stuff delivered to them.

I hope that you quoted an ex-shop price?

+1 for ex workshop price. You are the maker not the taker. Just as easy for the client to contact a courier of their choice and negotiate delivery arrangements. Your job is to prepair the product for transport and assist with loading.

I tend to let the client organise and own delivery. That way my responsibility ends when it is loaded in the truck and the risk transfers to the client
